Tengo un sueño hermoso, ver a los niños de los andes, selva y costa, jugar y bailar alrededor de un árbol, disfrutando de la vida, gozando y mostrando alegría sin preocupaciones, que son de los adultos.
Tengo un sueño y lo comparto, que los niños y niñas del Perú no abandonen sus estudios, para ser explotados en actividades de mendicidad y prostitución.
Tengo un sueño, que los hombres y mujeres del Perú profundo, olvidado, agreste y lejano y que han esperado tantos siglos de abandono, puedan disfrutar de una vida civilizada.
Tengo un sueño y quiero compartirlo, que el Perú alcance el desarrollo y crecimiento de los países del primer mundo y su población se beneficie de la modernidad.
Tengo un sueño, que los hombres y mujeres de nuestro país, depongan sus odios y mezquindades, que lancen sus armas al abismo y se confundan en un abrazo de reconciliación con sus hermanos y encuentren la paz.

Tengo un sueño, ilusión y confianza, que los jóvenes de hoy no se equivoquen, que analicen la historia y no cometan los errores que sus mayores cometieron.
Tengo un sueño, que las carreteras y caminos del Perú, permitan la unión, integración y desarrollo de sus pueblos.
Tengo un sueño, que el camino trazado por la economía, continúe su expansión y no haya retrocesos ni cambios traumáticos, que nos lleven a la incertidumbre de revivir tiempos cruentos ya olvidados.
